Am I Pregnant?

Every woman, no matter how careful, can have a pregnancy scare.  You wake up one morning not feeling right and realize you missed your period. You begin to worry. You probably should get a pregnancy test to be sure.

A few ways you might be pregnant; a night of unprotected sex, the condom broke or you just didn't think you could get pregnant.

For some women the signs are clear, but for others they may experience no symptoms  or just have a sense they are pregnant.

Symptoms

Pregnancy Test

  • Missed period

  • Swollen or tender breasts

  • Irritability, short temper, tears or a wide range of emotions

  • Tiredness, fatigue or exhaustion

  • Increased or decreased appetite

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Spotting instead of bleeding 

  • Frequent urination

  • Headache

  • Backache

  • Darkening of the nipples​

What Happens If I am?

If you are pregnant, we plan to help your determine your approximate due date, discuss your options, answer your questions, and possibly schedule you for a free ultrasound.  We will also provide you with a Verification of Pregnancy document as it will be helpful with applying for assistance and your insurance.

You can call for an appointment or "walk in" our office since there are often same day appointments available.  We realize that the sooner you know, the sooner you can begin to figure out what to do next.

What Do I Do Now?

  • Make an appointment and set your mind at ease.  As you prepare for your appointment please think about these factors.

  • When was the first day of your last period? This helps our staff determine when you might have ovulated.

  • Do you remember when you had sexual intercourse in the last few months? Don't be embarrassed about the frequency or lack. This will help determine if the sequence of events line up to indicate if you are pregnant or not.
